My feet are soaking right now. I filled a basin up with warm water and put my bare feet in it. It's something I do sometimes to relax. I'm watching a show called community- I'm on to the second season. It's very funny. But something's different. I'm laughing out loud when I find something funny. That never happens. I don't feel like a great weight has been lifted off my shoulders but I'm acting like one has. When I pulled up to Megan's house, she ran up to my car in her pyjamas. I was waiting inside in mine. Why not wear pyjamas for a drive? It's comfortable. She knows I saw Emily today. "How'd it go?" She asks. "Well, it didn't start off well. Someone came in with a bloke and I thought it was her and she'd brought some dude or something and I went over and said hi. Turns out it wasn't her. Embarassing." "ohhh." "But when she did arrive she was all smiles, which isn't what I'm used to. When I see her in the cinema she's usually sporting a frown." "She is working there though. What'd you talk about?" "Everything, really. When she sat down one of the first things I said was 'well, where do we start?' places we'd lived, things we'd done, people we'd been with, places we'd gone. I talked a lot about you." "Really? What'd you say?" "That you're pretty much my best friend." "Awwww!" She kisses me on the cheek, which she does sometimes. I swerve a little. "So it wasn't dodgy or anything?" "Nope! The whole thing was very friendly. It was what it said on the tin. A catch up. No flirting was intended, none detected. I slipped up at the end though." "What'd you do?" "Well, it's complicated, and I've never told anyone this, but I've always known her phone number off by heart. Still do. And at the end I accidentally slipped up. I had called her before she arrived because she was late, but I had said I had deleted her off my phone, which is true. So when she saw the missed call at the end one could probably work out I still knew her number off by heart. She was nice, though, didn't call me out on it. " "Why do you still know her phone number off by heart?" "Some things you can't forget." "AWW." This Blog Entry's Comment Board There are no comments on this post yet, be the first to leave one!
